Local functions

The reading list uses browser storage to remember record IDs you save. Your age acknowledgement and privacy choice are also stored locally so the site can remember the settings you selected. We do not create a journal account or sync the list across devices.

You can remove individual entries, clear the list, or delete this site's browser data. Exporting creates a text file on your device. You choose where that file goes.

Optional audience measurement

Analytics is off until you choose to allow it. If configured and allowed, Google Analytics may receive usage information such as the page address, browser/device details and a pseudonymous identifier. We do not add your saved record list or email-message contents to analytics events.

Open “Privacy choices” in the footer to change your choice. With essential-only selected, this site does not request the Google Analytics script. If you revoke permission after it loaded, the consent state is changed to denied and optional collection is disabled for subsequent activity under that state. Previously transmitted data is not recalled by that setting.

Links, hosting and correspondence

The hosting provider receives normal network request information needed to serve pages and protect the service. Commercial redirects can pass source and referral information to the destination; they are not synthetic purchases or conversions.

If you email the reading desk, your address and message are used to handle the enquiry. Do not include sensitive account data. We have no public comment system, advertising-pixel wall or third-party sign-in on this journal.
